Same Brief, Three Levels of Context
The brief and the raw materials are the same in every version. Only the amount of context changes.
This demo is a working example of that system: the inputs on the left stay fixed below, and the only thing that changes between presets is how much of them reaches the middle box.
The raw materials
What's actually available for this product: a spec sheet, a brand tone guide, a line from a past campaign that worked, and a customer review. The same four things, every time below.
Spec sheet
40" foil number balloons (0–9), self-sealing valve, air-fill or helium, gold finish, ships flat in reinforced cardboard packaging.
Brand tone excerpt
Our voice is warm and a little cheeky. Party planning should feel fun, not like admin. Short sentences. Talk to the person throwing the party, not ‘the customer.’ Light on exclamation marks — earn them.
Past campaign example
No helium? No problem. These self-sealing beauties hold their shape with just a puff of air — plug in a straw, not a tank.
Customer review snippet
Didn’t want to mess about with a helium tank for one afternoon party. These looked amazing in photos and took two minutes to blow up.
Three levels of context
Same raw materials above, three different amounts of them handed to the model, three different results. Toggle between them, and where lines are linked, hover one to see what it shaped.
The model given only the product name, nothing else.
Context given to the model
Product name only: “Giant Number Balloon”. No spec sheet, no tone guide, no examples.
Response
Celebrate any occasion with our premium Giant Number Balloon. Made from high-quality materials, this balloon is the perfect addition to any party or event. Available in a range of numbers, it’s a fun and eye-catching way to mark your special day.
The model given the spec sheet, and nothing about brand voice or who’s buying.
Context given to the model
Spec sheet only: “40" foil number balloons (0–9), self-sealing valve, air-fill or helium, gold finish, ships flat in reinforced cardboard packaging.”
Response
Our Giant Number Balloon measures 40 inches and features a self-sealing valve, so it holds air without extra sealing. Made from durable foil in a gold finish, it can be inflated with air or helium and comes packaged flat in reinforced cardboard for safe delivery.
The model given all four raw materials together: spec sheet, brand tone, a past campaign line that worked, and a customer’s own words.
Underlined phrases are linked — hover or tap one to see what it shaped.
Context given to the model
All four raw materials, unedited. Spec sheet: “40" foil number balloons (0–9), self-sealing valve, air-fill or helium, gold finish, ships flat in reinforced cardboard packaging.” Brand tone excerpt: “Our voice is warm and a little cheeky. Party planning should feel fun, not like admin. Short sentences. Talk to the person throwing the party, not ‘the customer.’ Light on exclamation marks — earn them.” Past campaign example: “No helium? No problem. These self-sealing beauties hold their shape with just a puff of air — plug in a straw, not a tank.” Customer review snippet: “Didn’t want to mess about with a helium tank for one afternoon party. These looked amazing in photos and took two minutes to blow up.”
Response
No helium tank, no problem. Our 40" gold number balloons self-seal with just a puff of air — plug in a straw and you’re done in about two minutes flat. They hold their shape brilliantly for photos, and because they ship flat in sturdy cardboard, they’ll turn up ready for whatever number you’re celebrating.

This is what context design looks like in practice — not a philosophy, a specific, repeatable difference in output quality.
