About

I've been doing context work longer than I've had a name for it.

I'm Kevin Davison, and Context Works is my independent practice, based in Milton Keynes and working with businesses across the UK. I find and fix the gaps in what a business knows before they show up as inconsistent work, whether a person or AI made it.

Where it comes from

My background is in design: typography, broadcast motion design and illustration, then UX. I spent the last decade on user experience and digital transformation inside a large retail business, which eventually meant building its AI workflows and operational systems. More recently I built Signal & Flow, a live multi-agent AI platform that uses synthetic customer personas for competitor analysis and behavioural research.

The same pattern showed up in every one of those projects. Give a model a task without choosing the information it needs, and the result is wrong or generic. The model is rarely the problem; what it was given usually is.

That's why the demos on the Work page exist: the same task, the same model, three levels of context, three very different outputs, side by side. Once you can see the gap, you don't need me to argue for it.

Why start with an audit

The Context Audit is that pattern turned into something you can buy: one workflow, one 90-minute session, and a written brief on what's missing and what to fix first.

The work doesn't have a settled job title yet. I've written about why in The job that doesn't have a name yet.
